Bradford, Manningham Masterplan

Bradford City Council

With lead consultants GVA Grimley, to develop a masterplan for Manningham which delivers the City’s 2020 vision for the area. SRC undertook extensive consultation with local people, their support agencies, service providers and businesses in a predominantly Asian area of 4,000 homes.

What we did 

held face to face interviews with a broad range of local stakeholders

ran community walkabouts with local residents across ten sub-neighbourhoods

organised a Community Life and Attitudes Survey of local residents and businesses, in partnership with a locally-based survey company

set up and ran ‘storytelling sessions’ with residents to explore in depth issues not covered by the community life and attitudes survey

held a series of neighbourhood drop-ins to obtain community feedback on emerging masterplan options and outline the final proposals
